I need a skate that has a hard shell, fat cushioned liners and allows 72mm wheels.

The early to mid '90s TRS & Tarmac worked well for me, but they don't make 'em like that anymore.

I like the comfort and durability of today's street skates, but I can't find any that allow 72mm wheels.

Wudup?

I would recommend the Salomon Deemax or Crossmax skates . They are what Salomon calls FSK (Freeskates). More durable and kind of a hybrid of an aggressive an fitness. Unfortunately, not many sizes remain in those and we can't get more.

Salomon used to have an FSK frame available as well. These were UFS so they can be put on any of the aggressive skates and allow you to have a larger wheel. I'll see if I can't get more of those. They no longer had those last I checked. As you may know, Salomon is getting out of the US market for 2006, so stuff will be slim from for a while.

Thanks for the post!
