I had purchased a pair of the Salomon pilot pro skates (love them) and now need to clean the bearings. I purchased citrus cleaner and lubricant, but when I open up the bearings they have the cream or gel lube. I am thinking that the oil lube is not right and I need to pack them with cream lube. Is that true? and if so what kind should I buy?
Thanks,
I'm not IW but Gel lubes are just different from oil lubes. They last longer but compromise a lil spin. Anyways, since you've bought the cleaner, when you clean them make sure you get all the gel out before you dry them and put the oil into them, otherwise it'll cause this weird scratching sound if you still have some gel in them.

Super Oil would work, but Bones Speed Cream would definitely be better. More along the lines of what you got in there.
Thanks for the post !!
