View Full Version : Will the 2006 inventory have any other freestyle skates?
You guys carry the K2 Soul Slides, and used to stock Salomon's freestyle line.
Will we be seeing any Powerslides, Roces SKT100, Roxa X-treme, or Rollerblade Twisters?

Salomon won't be releasing skates in 2006 for the US market, K2 is nearly out but will have something for 06 I'm sure, Roces hasn't even released their 2005 skates so thinking about 2006 is kind of tough. We've had their 2005 on order since March and they still haven't arrived.
Reebok will be making skates next year and they are somewhat like the FSK. I just saw them today. Should be pretty cool. I just saw prototypes at this point though.
Twisters are only available in the European market as well.
So to make a short answer long, we will be carrying those we can. K2 definitely, RB's new line I will see next week, Reeboks will have some skates similar, Salomon not available, and Roces we will when they become available.
Hope that helps.
Stan

I don't have all the specs, as I saw just the prototypes. The frames will vary. Nice looking skates though. They'll have a full line and we should have some exclusives here at IW as well. Won't be available until next year..

Salomon won't be releasing skates in 2006 for the US marketYou had me scared for a moment there, until I googled for it and found this :Citing declining sales, Salomon has decided to abandon the U.S. inline skate market and focus its efforts in Europe, Asia and Canada. At least they'll keep on selling in Canada, it would suck if I lost my top recommendation to everyone I'm trying to convert to blading.
I love the Slides I got from you early this summer, I put quite a few hundred miles on them already, but I've no experience with the rest of the K2 line, and most people don't want to pay the Slides' price to start with, so I usually end up recommending middle of the line Salomon skates to people around me (provided they fit well).
The slides are superbly comfortable loafers to me, and my old TR8s get used when I want a more rigid boot.

We'll be carrying K2's version which I assume they'll have another, Roces when it is available and will explore others as well.
I'm not giving up totally on Salomon. Since the skates are being made in Europe, we'll try to get them somehow.
