I am in the market for new skates. I've been skating in k2 vo2s with 90mm wheels. Questions about these two skates. Can the Rad 90's accomodate a 100mm wheel? I like the 100's in the back of the extremes but want to move away from the exotech boot for the lower boot of the rad 90's. Will I lose out on maneuverability with the rad 90's? I like slalom runs downhill. How would the rad 90's perform on downhill slalom? I also like long smooth flat runs which seem to fit the rad 90s better. Also, is there much difference between a 84 and 85 durometer wheel? I need new weels for a variety of surfaces. Im on 83s now. Thanks! Chris Kane

ps. I am trying to establish a skating community in Albuquerque, New Mexico. If ANYONE is near, respond. When there is no ice you need to hit the pavement!

No. The RAD 90 is a 90mm max skate.

Not a lot of difference between 84 and 85a no. I love the Radical 90 skates. I think you would enjoy them for downhill. A little faster as you get harder, feel a little more bump, not as much grip, more durable. Give and take kind of thing.

Thanks for the post.
