Hi guys,

I just started skating a few months ago, now beginning to master parallel turns and stuff. I've been renting skates so far and I am looking to get a skate for use.

Currently, I am looking at the K2 Moto 84 BOA, but I know that sometime in the future, I want to try doing some freestyle and learn some tricks or two. Nothing too serious, but just for some fun.

Can someone recommend me a skate that will allow me to skate recreationally, yet have some fun with the cones?

or should I just content myself with getting a recreational fitness skate, and then getting a freestyle skate?

Hi,

The Moto 84 BOA is a really good skate for a beginner to intermediate skater. I really like the lacing system for these boots. Its really fast and easy.

If you were looking to do some grinds and tricks like that this might not be the skate to get. You would then want to go to an aggressive skate and it is a very different feel and ride.
