Lightning TF's hurt feet

I received some Lighting TF's last month and I'm having a fitting issue. The bone of at the base of the 5th metatarsal on my foot sticks out a little. the problem is where it sticks out contacts the boot in the hard plastic side of the boot. (Google "base of the 5th metatarsal" to get an idea of the area I'm talking about.)

The boot fits ok other wise so my question is do you have any ideas on how to correct this?

Perhaps mole skin, or some kind of padding on the sensitive area may work. You would probably have a better idea than I would having dealt with this issue on your foot up to now. I would look into anything that can shield that area of the foot from thick socks, etc... Sorry I can't be of more help.
