Deshi heel strap on Salomon Fitness skates??

Hello - I need to come up with a way to make my heel fit more tightly in my Salomon TR MG skates. The Deshi heel strap is advertised as doing just what i need (preventing "heel lift"), but I am wondering if it can be used on my skates.
