Hey Stan, any word on what skaters think the best bearings are? So far I have tried the ILQ-9s Twincams with good luck for over 6 months of heavy skating. I have been told the Swiss 6 ball bearings are just as good and last for a while. Any other good suggestions of a fast long lasting bearing based on what you have heard?
Thanks.

The Super Swiss 6 should be great. I hear nothing but great things about them. I'm a HUGE fan of the BONES brand. They make excellent quality stuff. Myself, I've only skated the Bones Swiss and love them. They last forever and I don't service my stuff... ever. They got a little noisy after many months, but never slowed up. So I just kept skating.
I went ahead and credited you for those wheels assuming you would be buying something again. Safe assumption? If not , let me know and I will charge back and do the store credit thing as originally promised.
Take care!

Hi Stan,
Ill contact you in the morning about the purchase possibility.
Quick note, I just got a set of Super Swiss 6.. Im not all that happy with them. When I did a free spin test my ABEC 7s last almost as long in the spin and are far quieter even after over 500 miles on them. I just got a set of Mega Parsecs (which I added to my review thread) and put the Super Swiss 6 in them.. they were quite noisy. With the ABEC7s.. hardly any noise at all. Now this is roll noise not wear and tear noise. I already know this is mostly due to the ABEC7s being grease packs and the SS6 having cream lubricant.
Another issue I ran into is the cream they use is a dirt magnet, much like any non-grease lubricants. After 10-12 miles I actually had some slight grinding of sand particles.. this is not a problem for my grease packed ABEC7s.
Now, Im not knocking the performance of the bearings as they are fast but not enough difference in roll to make them, IMHO, worth the extra $30 in cost.
I will be the first to admit that since I prefer harder wheels (I now use the Mega Parsec 86A wheels) that having grease packed bearings, to me, gives a smoother ride and nearly no noise at all from the roll. I also very much prefer grease packed bearings anyways since maintenance is not even a question. I have ILQ-9 TwinCams with over 2000 miles on them and never cleaned them at all.
I do want to get another set of ILQ-9s TwinCams however, Classics with grease pack, so can you get them? ;)
Thanks!

Salomon is sold out of their ILQ 9's so we can't get them for now. Hopefully soon. As soon as they have them, we'll get them. They are out of the 7's even.
I hear nothing but great things from our customers buying Bones Super Swiss. I skate the Bones Swiss myself and love them. Bones are the best out there in my opinion.
Thanks for the post.
