I recently received a pair of K2 Impulse skates as a gift...it has been years since I've skated and I'm having trouble with the brake on these. I have trouble making contact between the pad and the ground. Is this something I can modify or do I need to find a different pair of skates? Help!

Sorry to hear about your diffuclty in braking. The skates are pretty basic across the board as far as brakes at that price point. Barring anything out of the ordinary on your skates, it may just be your technique that is giving you problems. As you get comfortable skating again, you mind you don't have much trouble at all.

We no longer have the Impulse skate here for me to check out unfortunately. I wish I could help further. I don't want to steer you to another skate in fear you may have the same problem.
