Hi, I have the K2 XP 6.0 skates from 2004. (http://www.inlinewarehouse.com/descpage.html?PCODE=K2XP60M)

I am in need of replacing the wheels - and maybe bearings too.
I'm 6-4, 230 lbs.
I am just using for fitness and recreation - no stunts or other hardcore business.

Can someone make a recommendation? I read the bearings may be overrated as far as higher ABEC numbers go.

I don't mind spending money, but I'd like something maybe a little harder (more durable, longer-lasting) than then stock wheels.

I've also been rotating, so I'm sure I'm ready to replace them. :)

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Stock those skates come with 80a wheels. I would go at least 82a.

The above link will take you to all the 80mm wheels. The Salomon FSK wheels good at 83a, the Labeda Team at 84a. You can see a cuple on closeout even. The Labeda Lazer adn Explore Escalade for example if wanting to save some money.

As for bearings, ABEC ratings are great, but it is better to go by brand. The ILQ bearings are great as they are newer and designed with inline skating in mind. My favorite are the BONES brand. The Bone Swiss are excellent bearings. About $64 but last a long time and spin great. Bones, BSB or the ILQ are what I would get. I personally am not a fan of the Titaniums.

Hope this helped and I didn't give too many options.
