Hey everyone,
I am in the market for some new fitness skates. I was someone could give me so imput on RB v. K2 brand, types of wheels, hardness of the wheels (will be used on pavement), etc. I plan on using them to replace running so they will be used alot. Any advice would be great!
thanks,
Chris

Bigger wheels are slow in the acceleration, but fast in the high speed. Smaller wheels react vice versa. Soft wheels handle impacts better but do not roll fast. Harder wheels are fast but do not handle impacts as good as the softer one.

Both make outstanding skates and do a great job for entry level skates on up to high end performance and cross-training skates.
K2 uses an 80A wheel all the way up to their 84mm wheel size which is great for a smooth ride, but also slows it down a bit and wears down faster. Not a huge deal as you can replace with whatever wheels you want when they wear down, but something of note.
K2 does a great job of making comfortable skates at all levels with their softboot technology. RB gets a little more performance-minded in my opinion on the higher end as the boots become a little more narrow and rigid so that more power transfer can be accomplished.
K2 comfort. RB a little more performance on the higher end skates.
Hope that helps.

I completely agree with site Admin that, "K2 comfort. RB a little more performance on the higher end skates". One must follow this to get fitness skates.
