Hi,

I just got into inline skating last year and went a little crazy. I bought k2 Velocity fitness skates and skated average of 30 miles/week for about 6 months. I crave more speed, but don't want to loose a lot of control. I am planning to train for a marathon this year. I would like a longer wheel base, larger wheels, but I still want a break pad and like the cuff support. I am good in propelling forward, but I am by no means a great speed skater.

So, I dont' want to go too crazy and buy skates I can't handle, but would like something a little more fitting for a faster marathon skating. Any suggestions? How about these new K2 radical 100 or 90?

Radical 90 would be a great skate to get. 100mm wheels are great and fast, but big. Takes a while to get used to as your stride will change a bit.

90mm seems pefect for my tastes. You get a ton of speed and the boot is comfy. You may be surprised how little support you need up top now that you are skating a freak like 30 miles a day :) The marathon cuff feels very stable although it is sleek and free-moving.

We had one pair that came in early for the photo shoot. One lucky customer nabbed it and he has already written giving praise on the skate. Great skate for marathon or for longer skates.

Thanks for the post and I hope I helped.

I have several marathons posted on the message board. Just added one in Michigan.

There are others on there as well in Florida, AZ, etc... Check out those sites and you'll be sure to find one closer to home eventually.

Thanks again!
