Is there any way I could remove the brake on the k2 soul slide? :)

Sure...
We sell Sould Slide/7 Axle sets on our site for $10. Just type K2 Axles in the white search box at the top left of our web site to get to quickly. They aren't sold individually unfortunately.
Thanks for the post.

thanks for the reply... im a new skater, I haven't rollerbladed in probably 5 years, and i just purchased soul slides from your company. I just got them yesterday. Hopefully when I try them out in a few hours I don't fall and look like a dumby =)

just contact k2, they'll send you a replacement axle for free. you'd think that an 'urban skate' would come with a normal length axle in the box, huh.
also, when the cuff rivets pop off when you're skating and you lose ankle support, contact them again, they'll send you a flat bolt and nut setup that works much better.

An extra axle used to come with all skates, but they stopped doing that for whatever reason. We started telling whether or not a skate does come with that on the product description so as to avoid any surprises.
As for the cuff bolts. Haven't heard of any problems there, but sounds like Jeff had a problem. Definitely a warranty issue that would be covered if something like that would happen.
Thanks!
