I grew up on skates. Have been inline skating off and on for 17 years or so, and quad skated at least 10 years prior to that. In other words, I'm not a newb. I just bought a pair of K2 Moto 90 skates from you guys. Bought them because they were listed as the most popular as well as the most supportive skate in the K2 line. Figured I couldn't go wrong. I have always skated with hard molded shell boots, so this is my first soft boot skate. I bought a size 10.5 since that's the size shoe I wear. I had to loosen the laces to keep the boot from being too snug, but other than that, the skates seem to fit me just right. I don't know if I'm not adjusting them right or what, but I cannot keep my feet from supinating badly. I have never had problems keeping my wheels upright, and centered under my feet, but these things want to flop over to the outside horribly. Needless to say, this makes skating extremely difficult, as well as uncomfortable. My feet are worn out after 15 minutes because of trying to stabilize my ankle. Is there an adjustment I can make to the boots to prevent the supination I'm experiencing? Unfortunately I've worn them outside for 15 minutes, and the wheels are roughed up a bit, so I guess I've ruined my chance to return them. I'd appreciate any advice you can give. I hate to think I'm out $150 because i can't bear to skate these skates.

Thanks for the post and sorry to hear of your problems.

The Moto 90 continues to be K2's most popular model. They do fit different than a hard shell being a soft boot, but are very supportive. Hard shell models can be found in the RB Fusion series.

The Moto 90 doesn't have lateral adjustment or I would simply advise to adjust a bit to correct your ankle roll. We haven't had any problems, but there is always a chance that they aren't mounted correctly or something. Perhaps you can eyeball that and see if that is a possibilty.

Being used, you are correct in that naturally we wouldn't want to try to sell them to someone else as new. If not a defective item, we can try to help and liquidate in out liquidation section for you. You can set the price you are comfortable with but just remember that a discounted price has the chance to sell more easily and quickly. If defective, we can get a Return Authorization # from K2 and go that route.

Let me know what you decide.

Thanks again!
