Hello,
I was wondering if the Roller Blade 90mm/84a SG9 8 pack ($59 sale price) fit the K-2 Moto 90 mens fitness skate? Other wheels you would recommend? 30-45 minutes 4-5 times weekly fitness skate, smooth terrain fast skate, 205 lbs.
Thanks in advance

Any suggestions...Really want to purchase another set from here. Prices in Canada are crazy.

Those wheels would work well. Great value for that 8pk so you're on the right track.
Thanks for the post!

Hello,
I am complete amateur, I bought my first set of skates today, RB Crossfire XT.
They just fit so much better than K2 Moto 90, they have a removable "boot", which seems very important to me, + they were a bit cheaper, although that wasn't important at all.
Now, after my first try (I didn't fall! hehe), I can hear some screeching sound when I spin the wheels, I am completely scared - because I think I cannot open the bearings and clean + oil them, right? These just don't look like "maintenancable" - am I wrong? What should I do?
Oh, I already took out every wheel and cleaned with a dry kleenex paper, still same.
Thanks in regards,
Mario

Something may have gotten in there to cause the sound you are hearing. There are videos showing how to clean and service bearings in our learning center (link below). That may solve the issue if it doesn't solve itself.
Sometimes a little rock can get between the frame and wheel or bearing. Hopefully you can remedy without having to service the bearings completely. Try isolating the sound and then go from there.
Thanks!

...to replace some 90mm wheels/bearings on my K2 VO2 skates and they work great. Great price for 8 wheels and 16 bearings. In fact, the Rollerblade spacers seem better than the K2 stock spacers....they are a bit wider in diameter so the axle doesn't get stuck, which happened to me a couple of times when rotating the wheels.

I was wondering if anyone had an opinion on the difference between SG & ABEC bearings? Is Rollerblades hype really true?

I'd say , not so much. Fine bearings, but with anything, brand recognition serves me better than the ratings themselves.
One brand at ABEC7/SG7, may or may not perform or last as long as another at the same rating.
Havingn said that, Rollerblade bearings are not bad. Are there better out there, sure. Bones still sits up top my list and doesn't use any ratings other than Swiss. BSB and OUST are also respected brands.
Hope that helps!
Thanks for skating!
