I am looking to purchase some new inline skates. I have a pair of 10 year Rollerblade Lightning TRS (all plastic) skates that I like but they do make my fee hurt. I am looking for something for recreational use. I have tried on the Astro 7’s but I cannot seem to get them tight enough for my ankle not to move around. I have seen the Lightning 4’s and they have a different locking mechanism and it might be better but I cannot find an B&M stores around me (Southern California) that have them for me to try on.

I am not tied to only Rollerblade brand skates so any advice will do.

Thanks in advance.

Fit is a personal thing so it would be hard for me to tell which would fit your feet best. I like the K2 skates myself, and it will depend on who you talk with if they like RB, Salomon or other. Best would be to do what your doing and try a few on. You don't really have to try on a bunch of one brand, but rather try on one or two across brands to see how their boots are fitting you. Then make your skate choice from there.

Thanks for the post.
