I’ve been skating for along time with my long time ole companion Rollerblade Crossfire.
I’ve just made the upgrade change of a standard frame of 260mm lenght/82mm wheels/165mounting to a Rollerblade Fly Pro frame of 326mm lenght/100mm wheels/195 mounting. I kept the SG7 bearings, spacers and boots (which I know are very comfortable for me and buying another skate, I may not be so happy with them). My SG7 bearings have been living a smooth life as I use the same Teflon as I use on my firearms and they snug and still spin fine. I also got the “Raps 165 to 195 adapter plate”.
OK, while I had to do a lil Afro Engineering, the upgrade worked and today I tested them out. Ask me, if Ü want the details of what & how I made the upgrade.
Ok for the 1st test run today, I could see if was gonna to rain and the black clouds were a coming but I had to scope them out today cause my IT job starts on Sunday. I ratcheted them up away I went. The 1st difference was the handling basicly the same but with a longer wheelbase slightly different in turns and the last wheels left the ground a lil later, other than that the same. I heard that, “Ü will have more speed but you get a lil more workout to maintain it”, of that it surely waz. 2nd since I am a street, sidewalk and asphalt surfer, the biggest change waz the objects in der street so with the larger wheels and much longer wheelbase, surfing across these lil objects waz quite a bit easier and less of a bump. Well I only got bout 1km and had to return home as the rain started but I’m glad I made the simple upgrade to 100mm wheels and lok forward to many kms on them.:D

mac, the frame on them sparks sur loks the same as my crossfires and maybe the mounting on the boots might have the same configuration mine did. Then all Ü need to do is a lil afro engineering to change to 195mm mounted frame? Only way to to know for sur is to remove the frame and see. I actually got them Rß Pro fly 4x100 frames here on sale. And now my nephew is using them modified crossfires with 4x100 and luvs the extra speed.

Cool ! :D

But i dont seem to find the Pro Fly on IW any more. They have the Fly but it is running 5x84 rather than a 4x90

They do have the Luigino Z Frame offering 4x90 or even 4x100 configuration for a 165 but it is currently over my budget... might as well go for a new pair of skates with the frame price of 275 :???:

We just got in the K2 4x100 frames that will be on the site shortly at $99 as well.

Rollerblade makes 'some' parts for aftermarket sale like frames, but never a whole lot. So we run out :(

Thx
