Hi! I just received my Wing 50 skates and am trying them on around the house before I commit. I realize that the right skate is leaning my ankle outward and will not keep straight. The buckle tends to loosen easily, but even when I tighten it all the way, my ankle pushes outward. The left skate won't do this at all and is fine. The skates are not too big either (perhaps a little small on the right, even). Do you have any idea what is causing this? Is it me, or could there be something wrong with the skate, a misalignment of the boot? thanks!

It isn't likely, but anything is possible. That particular skate does not have lateral adjustment, so it would have to be either your ankle, size or the mount.

If the mount, you would likely be able to eyeball it and see that it is done incorrectly.

If the size. You mentioned it is small if anything. I have one foot one full size bigger than the other myself.

Ankle. Could be a weak ankle on that foot or not adequate support due to sizing is all I can think of.

If not wanting, by all means do not use outside so as it can be returned. Let me know your O# before you do so I can check it out once it gets here rather than putting it back into inventory.

If you have pronation naturally on that side, you may have to step up to a boot that does have a lateral adjustment to help correct it. If not a mounting issue.

Thanks and sorry for the hassle. We'll get you on skates soon.

Thanks for your help- no wonder why I am buying from you! No, the skates have not been used, and I ordered 2 sizes of Athena ALU skates to compare. So, then I'll send the two back that don't work... ahh, the hassles of shipping...
Such is life when there are no places to try them on around here.
What have you heard of the Athena ALU skate? Do people like it?

People love it. I'm partial to K2 myself as they just fit my feet better.

As for shipping, another great reason to shop with us. You should have a label for FREE return shipping.

Thanks!

Hey, I just had an idea- it would be really cool to have a place somewhere on the website where people could post reviews for each skate after they bougth them, like for fit, fastness, why they chose it, etc. That would really help in the decision process, especially when you're looking at two skates. It might give you guys some feedback too, on what works and what doesn't. That way people wouldn't have to ask the same question a million times about the same skate and could just look in the archive for the skate model. What do you think?

There's actually a "read/add feedback" button for every item on the site. Just click the thumbnail image and next to the enlarged you'll see it.

Not many use it though so perhaps we should make it more visible.

Thanks for the insight though.
