Can you tell me anything about these skates. I love the look of them and plan to buy them (my wife may have already for my bday) - just curious what rollerblade is saying about them.

I am still using my salomon fsk's - heavily modified. I like the idea of longer frames with a hard boot. Just wondering why the "urban" designation and if the wholesale catalog (or your rep) provides more detail about the skates. There is surprisingly little detail about the skates online.

Side note - I've bought about 3 skates from you, multiple wheels, bearings, etc. Always found that you provide excellent customer support and service.

I'm thinking these are going to be wonderful skates. Rollerlblade is excited about them and I think it would be the perfect step up from your FSK's.

I haven't had them in my hands for a few months now when the sales rep came and showed them to us. I was impressed then. I have not skated them, nor have any other feedback other from what RB has told us. I do anticipate this skate being a huge seller and there are dozens that have pre-orders in to be the first to get them.

To sum up, I think you are on the right track and I would support your thoughts about getting the Platinum 8 skates.

Thanks for the post.

I was looking at those as well, but they stopped the sizing at 13... I take a RB 13.5. Is Rollerblade even going to produce 13's or 14's in this ?

Yes.. Unfortunately they don't offer it on all their skates though.

Pretty much all the other 2008 Rollerblades go up to either 13 or even 13.5. The Crossfire 8.0, Astro 10, all the Speedmachine skates even. All go to 13.5.

Platinum 8, unfortunately no.

Thanks for the post.
