Hi! I just found out your site today, and I'm interested in buying some skates (K2 Athena, for $75). I live in Chile, so I thought this was a bargain to buy. Unfortunately, the shipping to my country is outrageous, $82! I saw your answer to some italian customer, but I really think there are cheaper alternatives (same size inline skates shipped for as little as $40 by US ebay sellers to Chile). I would really like to buy from your store, but if the shipping price is final, I think I'll have to go with ebay instead... =/

There is always a cheap way to do everything. The thing you have to ask yourself is, what is the reliable and safe way to ship.

We naturally will not ship anything of value a method that has tracking so you and I both can see how the package is moving along. As well, we won't ship with any agent that won't stand up for their service and take responsibility for any problems that may arrive during shipment.

Those services typically are UPS or FedEx which I recommend and use. Express Mail through the post office is a far 3rd compared to the above. All of which we offer however.

A pair of skates weight 8-12lbs, has a dimensional weight of 16lbs when shipping. Size makes it expensive.

Thank you.

So, how much for express mail, then? 40 dollars like the ebay sellers that use the united states postal service?

Thank you.

Purchasing from unauthorized dealers such as EBay is whole different story. May work well, but if any warranty or shipping issues, you may be on your own.

I wouldn't feel comfortable shipping through Express Mail to Chile. I would mandate FedEx or UPS for reasons described earlier. Would protect you, us and the shipment. IW will not cut corners to save money if it results in diminish quality of service. Thank you.

Thank you.

Ok, finally I decided to go with you and purchased the K2 Athena 2007 inline skates for 74.95 + shipping 82.00.

Hope everything turns out well ;)

Thank you

Camila.

Thank you for the order. I noticed you chose Express Mail which is fine. Will take about 7-10 days and will likely go through your local postal service once in your area.

Quickest and most efficient is FedEx to that area, but Express Mail will be fine.

Enjoy your skates!
