Foreward: I have been skating for over 12 years, never had this much of a problem before!:

I bought a pair of 12.5 Rollerblade Crossfire 4Ds (2006, the blue and grey ones) and they were much too large. I previously had EVO 07s in a 12, but I wear an 11 shoe, so I thought I'd try an 11.5. The skates were unavailable in a mens 12. They fit great, but after the first 10-mile skate on them I had a nasty blister on my left foot, on the inner curvature where the side of the arch is (inside of the arch, near where the main rivet is to pivot the ankle from the footbed).

If that makes sense, I'll continue...

I let the foot rest for a few days and thought the skates just needed to be broken-in a little. This has proven not to be the case as I am going through a "healing blister completely-forming new blister-healing-forming" vicious cycle.

I know that some would say the skates are probably too small, but my right foot is fine, absolutely no complaints.

I spent a good chunk on these skates, and love them otherwise, but I don't know how to remedy the blister situation. The last time I went out on them, the blister formed halfway through and was excruciating.

If there are any remedies for this type of blister problem, please let me know. I figure hockey players or other fitness skaters or at least some other owner of 2006 RB Crossfire II 4Ds may be able to help! Please!

Size could be an issue, yes. If like me, I have a size 10 foot and a size 9 foot. Makes thing challenging. Perhaps your feet are of different size, although probably not as extreme as mine.

If too small, it wil be tough to make it work. If large, inserts/footbeds usually do the trick.

Lastly, check for difference from one boot to the other to make sure something isn't sticking out or something wierd.

If we/you can find something we claim as defective, we would get you an RA# to send to RB for either a credit or replacement.

Thanks,
Stan @ IW

I remember there used to be a brochure rollerblade had out with a 1800 number (i think it was 1.800.XXX.ROLL) I am looking for this number to get in contact with them about a possible defect in my skates that I recently purchased. Can anyone tell me what the number is? I can't find it on their website.
