If this is answered elsewhere, I apologize, and please refer me. I live in a dead zone of in-line skating, meaning nobody, absolutely nobody, carries any decent skates, so I generally have to buy on-line. My questions is this: For longer treks on mostly flat surfaces, which would you recommend: The K2 Radical 100, or the Rollerblade Marathon Carbon? Also, what's the major difference between the ILQ and HTO PRO bearings?

Tough choice and I don't think you can go wrong with either. The Rad 100 has been out a while and is a proven winner. The Carbon is brand new and not as much history, but I've only heard great things and expect it to be just as good if not better. Main difference is how they feel on your foot, and unfortunately on you can answer that one.
ILQ is a fairly new standard for bearings just like ABEC but inline specific. HTO PRO is Rollerblades top of the line and would be a better precision (faster) bearing. Bearings are easily changed and focusing on the skate then getting the bearings you want in there has always been my philosophy. I've grown to love Bones Swiss bearings and the Super Swiss. So I always skate what is stock and then through in Bones bearings when I'm ready to replace.
All preference and personal experience there as well.
The 2 skates mentioned are awesome. Haven't gotten out on the Carbon's yet, and I probably won't be able to as they are flying out of here. Look and feel great though.
Thanks for the post and I hope this helped.
