I just got some Salomon Pilot v102 skates and they're different. The cuff support is adjustable which is nice. I prefer a cuff with forward flex and you can adjust the flex forward/backward or side to side. I've only had them for a week but I can notice increased strength in my legs. I've also found I need to focus on my outside edges and heels for the best results. Anyone else have similar experiences?

I'm considering trading up from a 4x84 mm setup (my frame measures 11" from front axle to rear) - was there a big difference getting used to the length, was there some mild adjustment, or was it hardly noticable?

Thanks,
Tom

There is a difference but you wouldn't take long to adjust to it. Having the length you can absorb things real well and your stride changes a bit to accomodate that, but all in all...it is just like anything else. A few skates and you'll be sailing...

Thanks for the post !
