Hi, first post.

I have an old pair of Rollerblade Bladerunner GLX skates, which I really like. They were originally purchased in about 1994.

I want to replace the wheels and bearings. The wheels are 72mm.

Can I go with a larger (80mm, 84mm)? What do you recommend? I'll be skating on paved surfaces.

What kind of bearings do you recommend?

Also, I'm missing one axle and am wondering if the Rollerblade Nylon Frame Flush Wave Axles fit these skates?

Thanks for your help.

You'll have to match up with what you see on the site. Look for skate name, but those are fairly old. Going by picture may be easier. We no longer have those, so I can't remember what they took.

Wheels. You can go as big as your frames allow. 72mm? Are you sure? Being that old, you may not be able to go bigger that 72. Maybe 76mm at the most. Check out the Kryptonic setup. Good 8pk that isn't very expensive.

Newer skates list max wheel size on the frames. Those may not. You would have to judge the clearance left over with the 72's in there.
