well, i'm very very interested in a pair of pilot9 pro skates from salomon. a big jump up from the tecnica inlines i have now.

i really must applaud you guys on the great prices. even with exchange, shipping and sales taxes in ontario factored in, the cost is less than i would have paid if my local store had them in stock.

my only question that i have heard that a higher end fitness skate needs to fit tighter. my shoe size varies from a snug 12 (puma) to a better 12 (reebok) to a loose chilling 13 (adidas).

if i were to take the plunge i would imagine a 12.5 would probably be my best bet, am i correct? my tecnicas are a 13 and fit fairly loose (pheonix model from a few years ago). my unscientific foot measuring system consisted of my foot and a ruler against a wall, and am at 28.5 cm. i have tried on a 10.5 and an 11 elite3 and they are too tight, like omega tight. help? thanks :D :? :D

The snugger the fit, the better response you get from a skate. Most getting the high end skates want that response as well. Of course, you don't want to be uncomforable either. So they don't HAVE to be tighter, but many choose to have them tighter.

I'm thinking the 12 or 12.5 would be a good choice. Only you know how tight those others were. Salomon doesn't make an 11, so you must of tried the 10.5 & 11.5 skates? If the 11.5 was still Omega tight, a full size would be a good idea then.

Hope this helps. As for shipping to Canada. They do charge duties to import items (IW does not charge these so you would have to check with them). For larger ticket items, try Express Mail. A little more expensive on shipping, but we can help on the value of the pkg to save on import costs.

Thanks for the post ! Stan @ IW

My shoe size is 9.5 and I find that the size 9.5 high end K2 skates fit like a glove.
